Animation Practice

In this video we look at some alternate animation practice excercises that can help you improve your animation skills. Often people talk about animating a pendulum, a boucing ball, or a sack of grain, but these donโ€™t really reflect real-world projects so perhaps one of these excercises would be better. The challenges are designed to be fun and engaging, while also helping you to develop your skills as an animator. The challenges are not software specific and can be easily applied to Brush Ninja or any other animation software. The video is a great introduction to animation practice and is perfect for beginners.

If these are a bit too challenging then the more basic practice exercises in the video Exercises for People New to Animation may be more suitable. These challenges are simple and designed to get you used to spacing, timing, and weight.
